A fundraiser for teachers? What’s up with that?
It’s pretty simple. Our faculty and staff bring their whole selves everyday to a school that deeply believes in the power of whole child education. Our charter school status allows us to create that wonderful unique space, and it also means that currently, our faculty and staff are paid outside of the school district payroll and benefits structure. Each year this event will fundraise for a different cause, and this year we are thrilled it's for our teachers.
Is this the same as the Winter Faire silent auction?
Yes and no. This replaces that auction, as you probably noted this year when you didn’t see it at the Winter Faire. But it is different in that it’s bigger, has other components including a live auction and a cash bar, and has a much larger financial goal.
How much are you trying to raise?
With 40 faculty and staff, we have a $25,000 goal. Every dollar above that makes a huge impact, so be sure to get your bid on! You can also lend support as a sponsor. Please email us to learn more at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What's the difference between registering and buying a ticket?
Buying a ticket to the event gives you access to the silent and live auctions, and other items that will only be available at the event itself (like the amazing blue bird Spring Into Our Future! painting by Marna Widom, seen above), plus a party with live music, Rio appetizers, and a cash bar. Registering as a bidder without buying a ticket allows you access to the online auction only.
What’s included in the ticket price, and will there be a bar?
Admission to the event (aka a ricking fun party), a complimentary drink, and light appetizers are included in the ticket price. There will be a cash bar.
Are kids allowed?
No, this event is for adults only. Babes in arms are permitted, however the venue can be quite loud at times. Please keep that in mind when planning your fun evening out.
If I volunteer, can I get in for free?
No, the ticket sales provide important income for this event. All volunteers will require a purchased ticket. However, we’d love for faculty and staff to attend without having to buy a ticket so we’re offering a Pay it Forward option. Look for this option when you buy your own tickets!
What if I can’t make it but want to support the fundraiser?
You’ve got two options. First, consider participating in the auction remotely. You don’t need to be present to win and most of the bidding will be online. Just CLICK HERE to register as a bidder. Otherwise, you can make a financial donation directly by CLICKING HERE. Thank you for your support!
