I hope that everyone had a most wonderful summer. We are so excited to be back at school and start another year of handwork. I am so very happy to welcome Anna Harris as the handwork assistant this year. We will all benefit from her presence in our classroom to help make handwork ever so magical.
Our very first project is making star crowns that we will wear for our Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 3.
We will be sewing felt stars onto finger knitted chains , some of us for the very first time.
Just in case you have a bit of time in your day, there is always room for parents to join us in the handwork classroom. After the first couple weeks while we all get acquainted with one another again, we will love having someone to read to us during our handwork class. As we begin our work, either sewing in first grade, knitting in second and crocheting in third, we will also enjoy your company. Perhaps you have wanted to learn to knit or crochet? We will be holding classes to teach you these skills.
Our first knitting class: Wednesday, September 23, 2015 after drop off. Please rsvp
Our first crocheting class: Wednesday, September 30, 2015 after drop off. Please rsvp
