Create a beautiful crown from treasures found in nature. Willow crowns are provided - please bring flowers (ideally found plants and flowers, not purchased to uphold our school views on sustainability). This will happen in the classroom. Parents are invited to come and help with this - there will be crowns for parents and younger siblings!
Parents sit in designated parent area on the large tarp or on your blanket.
The children will sit with their designated class areas.
Join us on the playground at 1:00 pm to make younger siblings a May Crown and find a place to watch the festivities. After the dancing and song visit the plant sale from 2:00 til pick up in the garden - brought to you by the seventh grade!
It will probably be warm! Wear a sunhat and bring a water bottle and blanket to sit on.
Everyone bring flowers! - please no store bought flowers as the environmental footprint does not go with our school mission of sustainability. Find things growing in your yard! The children LOVE dandelions in their crowns!
Watch this video to learn how to make may crowns! We have some cut willow branches in the garden or find your own. If you know a different way to make them that is great too :)
Email email@example.com with questions.
We need bunches of small and medium crowns! Thank you!
