Mountain Sage clubs include school-day clubs and afterschool clubs. These take on a new shape each school year, depending on the skills and expertise of our staff and family community, but they are always focused on community, connection, and having fun. This page is updated as programs become available, so please check back often. Questions? Email Holly Bandong via [email protected] or Messages in ParentSquare.

When: Mondays, 3:45-5pm

Who: Grades K-5th, 6th-8th grade helpers, run by Wild Roots

Fee: $156

Join our After-School Art Class on Mondays, where children will explore their creativity and deepen their connection to nature through engaging arts & craft projects. Each week, students will create unique art and crafts, that may include drawing, painting, working with fibers and clay, learning about local plants/ecosystems and crafting herbal concoctions. Our classes aim to strengthen children’s connection to the environment by using nature as both a subject and a medium for their artwork. By aligning our projects with the seasons and cycles of nature, children will gain a deeper appreciation for the environment. Middle School students are invited to apply for assistant teaching and classroom support roles—please contact Wild Roots for more information.

Participants will learn basic chords, strumming patterns, and songs in a fun, supportive environment—perfect for both first-time players and those looking to grow their musical skills. Owning your own ukulele is recommended so that you can practice at home, but don’t worry if you don’t have one—you’re welcome to use a school ukulele during class (please note that school instruments must remain at school). We’ll meet in the music room.
