Mountain Sage is a small community. It is important that we work together to support one another, and that each person reports your concerns and/or any concerning experiences you or a someone else may have had at our school.

Title IX

What: Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities (including sexual harassment, sexual violence, and gender-based harassment).

Who: Staff members except our Social Worker must report. Students, parents, and community members can report.

How: Complete the Title IX Report Intake Form or contact Title IX Coordinator Hillary Mizia via email or at 970-837-5826.

What to report:

  • Sexual harassment of any kind
  • Discrimination based on sex and/or gender

 

Safe2Tell

What: Safe2Tell Colorado is an anonymous way to report concerns regarding safety.

Who: Students, parents, school staff, and community members can report.

How: www.safe2tell.org, call 1-877-542-7233, or text S2TCO to 738477.

What to report:

  • Threat of harm to others
  • Threat of harm to self
  • Illegal activity

Child Abuse Reporting

What: The Larimer County Department of Human Services receives all reports of child abuse.

Who: Staff members must report. All members of the community should report child abuse if they suspect it.

How:  Call the Larimer County Department of Human Services at 970-498-6990 and provide them with an oral report.

What to report:

  • Any form of child abuse, including:
    • Physical abuse
    • Emotional abuse
    • Neglect
    • Sexual abuse
